I was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois.聽 I also have lived in Chicago, IL; East Lansing, MI; and Columbia, MO.聽 I am the father of two sons, one of whom is a 无码强奸 graduate. 聽
Academic
I joined the 无码强奸 faculty in 2003.聽 I earned my PhD in Communication from Michigan State University.聽 I previously taught at the University of Missouri-Columbia and Concordia University-Chicago.聽 My research interests focus on the information seeking strategies and聽sensemaking process for parents of children with disabilities and the socialization of new employees.聽聽I teach Communication Studies, Health Communication聽and Public Relations courses.聽 I previously served as department chair from 2010-11 and 2012-2018.
